Time: Enchanted Review
Nothing
like a little variety here on AFC right?
Ok, so we have kids and they wanted to see
Enchanted. Well, turns out, it's not a bad
flick! Disney fans will get a kick out of
finding the references to such classics
as Snow White, Cinderella and other Disney
hits.
Enchanted features Amy
Adams as the lost Princess Giselle, Patrick
Dempsey as Robert the uptight (but not for
long) divorce lawyer and James Marsden (Cyclops
anyone?) as the oblivious Prince Edward.
Susan Sarandon, Idina Menzel and Timothy
Spall round out the cast of colorful and
fun characters.
What happens when a seemingly
clueless Prince finds his supposed true
love and his Stepmother can't stand it?
Well, that true love ends up in New York
City! How does a former cartoon find her
way home in the mean streets of NYC? With
a little help from a divorce lawyer and
his daughter it shouldn't be too hard. Not
to mention her prince has come looking for
her!
It's never that easy though.
The story has lots of twists and turns,
fun dance numbers, songs and comedy galore
for adults and kids alike. The end result
is a "happily ever after" of course,
but just who goes home with who? No, it's
not a swingers party! sheesh! Get your heads
outa the gutter. This one's a family flick!
So if you need a Friday
night family movie, grab some pizza, some
beverages and the kids and sit down to enjoy
a fun movie you don't have to think much
about. You may even want to watch it a second
time... or a hundredth time if you're under
the age of 10!
Be sure to check out the
documentaries, deleted scenes and bloopers
too! The Enchanted DVD is loaded with tons
of extras.
