From Dark Horse: Lucasfilm's celebrated action/adventure hero, Indiana Jones, the forerunner of popular characters such as Lara Croft, will be making a triumphant return in 2008 with the yet-to-be-titled fourth installment of the Indiana Jones film series. Starring Harrison Ford and directed by Steven Spielberg, the film is slated for release in May 2008. Dark Horse Comics is excited to announce that it has acquired the comic book rights to the world's most famous adventurer and will launch a new series in 2008. NECA's Harry
Potter and the Order of the Phoenix Series 2

From NECA:
It’s the summer of Potter! With another sure-to-be-hit film
and the final entry of the book series on the way, casual fans
and fanatics alike have an insatiable craving for all things Harry.
This fall, we’ll be releasing Series 2 of our already popular
Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix Action Figures, but
we figured a taste of what’s to come was in store. This
series includes five highly detailed action figures. Up first,
of course, is our hero Harry Potter, with added arm articulation
and a new arm and torso sculpt. Harry’s most trusted ally
and mentor, Albus Dumbledore, joins the ranks of our growing plastic
Order of the Phoenix. The snide but powerful Severus Snape rounds
out the ranks of the good guys. Finally, we have two terrifying
followers of the sadistic Voldemort: his loyal Death Eaters. Fans
can expect an extensive online feature, like our feature for Harry
Potter and the Order of the Phoenix Series 1 Action Figures, later
this summer, but for now here’s a glimpse of these amazing
figures. Keep checking back at NECAonline
for updates on Harry Potter collectibles and more! |

Battlestar Galactica
Series 2 Revealed! From
DST:
DST is excited to announce the all-star follow-up Battlestar Galactica
Series 2 action figure assortment will be arriving in stores in
early 2008! Reimagined by Ron Moore, Battlestar Galactica tells
the story of the last survivors of mankind and their quest to
escape the murderous Cylons while searching for the mythical 13th
Colony, Earth. Hinted last month to include a Cylon, a drug runner,
a Cylon-lover and a prophet, we can now reveal the official lineup
- the devastating Cylon Centurion, Louanne “Kat” Katraine,
Kara “Starbuck” Thrace and the eternally-conflicted
Helo in dress blues! Battlestar Galactica premiered as a mini-series
in 2003 to rave reviews from both critics and fans of the classic
property, setting viewership records for the SciFi Channel. Leaving
much of traditional science fiction behind, the new Battlestar
Galactica instead focused on character-driven conflicts and the
series' epic storytelling style as viewers followed the triumphs
and hardships of the Colonial Fleet. Having received the prestigious
American Film Institute's honorific “TV Program of the Year”
for the second consecutive year, the stellar drama returns to
the SciFi Channel on January 21st in a new timeslot; Sunday evenings
at 10:00 pm EST. Look for images of this hit action figure release
and the upcoming Series 2 exclusive figures as this summer's San
Diego Comic Con approaches! Also sculpted by the incredibly talented
Jean St. Jean Studios, the first series of action figures featuring
Lee “Apollo” Adama, Six and Hotdog is continuing development
as the September release date approaches. |
