Comic Con Quickie: He-Man Returns... Again
Possibly the biggest Action Figure News from the
New York Comic Con came from Mattel Saturday.
During a panel dedicated to MOTU, Mattel,
accompanied by the Four Horsemen announced officially,
that He-Man and The Masters of the Universe would
be returning! As promised earlier, this line will
be collector oriented. No more cases of 11 He-Mans
and 1 Mer-Man folks. This is the real deal. What
you have been waiting for for over 25 years. The
new figures will blend the old days with the modern
He-Man, but from the looks of the very first figure,
it's looking a lot more like our old favorites.
It's awesome! The line will be 6 inch scale with
characters from all areas of the MOTU mythos:
The original 80's line, She-Ra, New Adventures,
He-Ro (Yes, He-Ro!) and more. Classic characters
being talked about for the line are: He-Man, Skeletor,
Queen Marlena, She-Ra, Hordak, and more. The only
limitation here is that Mattel will be unable
to produce any figures created by Filmation for
the original cartoon (legal issues... sigh). The
first figure in the Classics line will be King
Greyskull who made his debut in the 200x He-Man
cartoon. This will be a San Diego Comic Con Exclusive
folks, so plan accordingly. You won't want to
miss out on one of the hottest figures of the
Summer. The power of Greyskull has returned once
again. Let's show our support and thanks to Mattel
as I believe they have poured their heart and
soul into this to make it happen for US, the fans.
Check out AFC's
Mattel NY Comic Con Gallery for images and
more info seen in our pics from the panel.

Comic Con Quickie: What's This At Mattel?
Do you see it? Is it real? Are they faking us
out? Yes, that is the famous Wonder Bread He-Man

have planned to reveal at the Con, so I can't
tell you if there is any relevance to that particular
figure. I can tell you that you can expect a collector-satisfying
announcement to come very soon... Saturday to
be more precise. We'll have pics and news for
you as more details are made available. For now,
